  Position Overview:
  The American School of Madrid is seeking a dedicated and creative Middle School English Teacher to teach English Language Arts (ELA) to Grades 6–8. The ideal candidate will foster strong literacy skills, encourage critical thinking, and create an inclusive classroom environment that supports students’ academic and personal growth.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Middle School English Language Arts following American curriculum standards.

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons focused on reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.

  • Assess student learning through assignments, projects, and formal assessments.

  • Provide constructive feedback to support academic progress and skill development.

  • Collaborate with grade-level and subject teams on curriculum planning.

  • Support English language learners through differentiated instruction and scaffolding.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and school leadership regarding student performance.

  • Participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities.

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and inquiry-driven classroom environment.
